Great area here, decent privy and water source is very reliable. Easy access to the blue ridge parkway if you go up past the privy. You'll follow a small path that intersects with another path blazed in red. Turn left down the red path and you'll meet the BRP about 1/4 mile down, there is a decent area for parking across the road. As of 8/1/16 there was quite a bit of evidence of bear activity in the area, so be mindful of your smellables.

Good shelter, lots of areas for camping. And one of the nicest privies I've encountered. Water source can be iffy if weather has been super dry, but that isn't super common for the area. As of 8/1/16 log book had a lot of reports of bear activity, including bear getting hung food. I I had no issue on date noted, however I did see a ton of bear tracks around the area, so be extra mindful.

Decent water source when it is there. Small well built around a spring. But it could be sparse if weather has been quite dry.
